Privacy Policy

What personal data we collect, why we need it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.

This Privacy Policy explains how Care4Web (“Care4Web”, “we”, “us”), MRERA-59, Madapattu Road, Chalikavattom, Vennala PO, Kochi, Kerala 682028, handles your personal data when you use care4web.in or our services. We process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them.

1. Personal data we collect

  • Contact and billing details you give us: name, company, email address, mobile number, postal address, city, state, PIN code and GSTIN.
  • Order details: domain names, registration periods, nameservers, hosting choices and domain transfer authorisation (EPP) codes.
  • Messages you send us through our contact form, by email or by phone.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive a payment reference and status, but we never receive or store your card number, UPI PIN or net banking credentials.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, recorded in our server logs for security and troubleshooting.

2. Why we use it

  • To register, transfer and manage your domain names and hosting services.
  • To verify your email address with a one-time password (OTP).
  • To process payments, issue GST invoices and meet our tax and accounting obligations.
  • To respond to your enquiries and provide technical support.
  • To send service messages such as order confirmations and renewal reminders.
  • To keep our services secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal requests.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who we share it with

  • Domain registries and registrars (for example NIXI for .in domains): registry rules require the domain owner's details. Some of these details may be shown in public WHOIS/RDAP records, depending on the registry's policy.
  • Razorpay, our payment gateway, to process your payment.
  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as our email provider (Google) and data centre providers, only as needed to provide our services.
  • Government and law enforcement authorities, where we are required to by Indian law.

4. Cookies and browser storage

Our website uses a single session cookie, needed to verify your email OTP and complete checkout. Your cart is kept in your browser's session storage and is cleared when you close the browser. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts are downloaded.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your personal data for as long as you use our services and as long as needed afterwards to meet legal requirements. Invoices and payment records are kept for the period required by Indian GST and tax laws. Domain transfer authorisation codes are used only to complete the transfer.

6. How we protect it

We use reasonable security practices, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, email verification, restricted access to order records, and storage of sensitive configuration outside the public website.

7. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to:

  • ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
  • ask us to correct, complete or update your personal data;
  • ask us to erase your personal data, where we no longer need it for the service or a legal obligation;
  • withdraw consent where we rely on your consent (this does not affect processing already done);
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity; and
  • raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India.

Please note that registries require accurate owner details for as long as a domain is registered, so some data cannot be erased while your domain is active.

8. Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
